Language of the Inner Landscape
1-1 Creative Writing Sessions Blending Reflective Conversation with Journaling & Poetry to Invoke Healing, Deepen Self-Awareness, and Help You Find Words for What is Often Left Unspoken
Experience transformative alternative therapy & explore your inner world from the comfort of your own sacred space through secure online sessions.
Maybe you know there’s wisdom buried deep inside—feelings you can’t quite name, stories that long to be told and won’t let you rest. Maybe you’ve tried to explain what you’re experiencing, but your words fail you.
The world around you continues to move at increasing speed, shouting from the rooftops, demanding productivity and practicality, whilst your inner world whispers truths you’ve learned to hide to keep yourself safe.
Maybe you struggle to slow down and make time, or lack the understanding to dive deeper into your inner landscape to retrieve these buried truths.
I understand this place you’re in intimately. For years, I wore masks to survive—burying sensitivity, dismissing my emotions, being strong and holding it all together, and hiding the parts of myself that felt too raw for this world.
Then I discovered through creativity, exactly what you might be searching for: a language of the inner landscape.
There is, inside all of us,
a voice that is longing to be unearthed.
Go now,
into silence and solitude;
Wander into those dark corners
within yourself,
where you so fear to tread.
Find your courage,
And you will uncover
treasures which can never
be bought or sold.
Meet Your Guide & Facilitator
Hello! I’m Brad Carr. My own healing process began in 2017, when the pain of my first heartbreak catapulted me on a journey of self-discovery and transformation through creativity.
Using photography, creative writing, and poetry, I learned to give voice to what I had kept silent for decades. I transmuted my deepest pain into my greatest purpose: helping other sensitive souls excavate their inner landscapes and transform darkness into light.
Fast forward 9 years; I am now an internationally recognised landscape photographer, author, and creative mentor. My photographs and writings have featured in leading magazines, and my debut exhibition, Finding Light, was viewed by an estimated 20,000 people when it lined the walls of Plas Glyn y Weddw in 2025. I have published two books, with a third due for release in 2026. I have also shared my story of healing and transformation with tens of thousands on some of the biggest photography podcasts in the world and in front of live audiences throughout the UK.
I feel truly blessed to have guided over 150 people through creative workshops, private photography tuition, and individual and group mentoring programmes over the past few years. Each one has been a rich and rewarding experience in its own unique way.
Although I am often placed in the position of ‘teacher’ with the work that I do, it is usually me doing most of the learning. I bring an abundance of curiosity to all my sessions and love asking deep questions in the non-judgmental spaces I create, which allows people to open up to me. I count it as my greatest honour that people feel safe to share such vulnerable parts of themselves with me.

‘‘I have learnt so much through these sessions, things about myself and the people around me that I never took notice of. I have also been pulled closer and closer to the beauty around me through every session. You have allowed me to grow in so many ways. You've also given me a chance to practice my photography and my creative writing. I never thought I'd be sitting here today with a book full of poems and songs, and a camera filled with not only beautiful pictures, but beautiful memories.’’
Is This For You?
These sessions are for you if:
You’ve carried pain from your past that still shapes how you move through the world
You feel a disconnect between your inner experience and how you show up externally
You struggle to articulate yourself, and this leads to a disconnection in relationships
Traditional therapy hasn’t reached the deeper places that need healing
You sense that creativity might unlock something, but don’t know where to start
You’re ready to stop hiding and start transmuting your wounds into wisdom
The Three Pillars of Creative Healing
Together, we’ll work with three sacred elements: The transformative power of Nature, meaningful, reflective conversation, and creative expression. These three pillars will support your ongoing journey toward healing, integration & wholeness.
Virtual Nature
Immersion
Through guided visualisation practices and professional photographs, we connect you with Nature’s healing energy. You’ll cultivate your own sacred space while drawing from the wisdom of wild places.
Reflective Conversation
Through mindful dialogue and deep listening, we create space for authentic emotions and insights to emerge, honouring your unique story and lived experience and exploring your inner world together.
Creative
Expression
Writing and poetry become vessels for transformation, allowing you to give voice to the inexplicable and discover new perspectives through creative practice.
The healing power of nature transcends physical boundaries. Even through a screen, we can access profound wisdom and peace that the natural world offers to our souls.
Your Creative Journey to Healing & Wholeness
During our time together, you won’t just talk on a loop about your struggles or learn new techniques to bypass them; you’ll remember parts of yourself you thought were lost and face your fears with courage.
Through reflective conversation that honours your unique story, practices that help you realise your part in something much greater, and creative expression that gives voice to the voiceless, we’ll create a sanctuary where your sensitivity and openness aren’t a weakness; they become your greatest strength."

‘‘Only when a human finds the courage that is sufficient to cross the threshold from the known into the unknown will they access the raw and potent power of creativity. It is in the infinite realm of the unknown and unseen that creativity lies in abundance, and it is gifted to those of us who remain open enough to receive its mysterious powers.’’

If you’ve read this far, and you’re feeling something stirring inside you, that is your soul saying ‘‘yes!’’
The path to awareness and healing doesn’t require perfection. It doesn’t demand that you have everything figured out. It simply invites you to show up, exactly as you are, and trust that the answers you need.
I have walked through my own darkness and found light on the other side. Now I hold space for others to do the same. If you feel called to the deeper work, it would be my greatest honour to walk alongside you.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
This isn't about being a ‘‘good writer’’ or producing polished work. It’s about using words as a bridge between your inner world and the outer world—giving voice to what you’ve kept silent. You don’t need experience. You don’t need talent. You just need honesty and a willingness to show up. I’ve worked with people who haven’t written since school, and they’ve discovered that when there’s no pressure to perform, the words flow naturally. Your authenticity is more valuable than any technical skill.
-
Then you’re exactly where you need to be. Emotions aren’t something to apologise for here—they’re welcome. If you’re anything like me, you’ve likely been taught to keep them contained, to present only the parts of yourself that are ‘‘acceptable.’’ Our sessions are a sanctuary where your tears, your anger, your grief, your joy—all of it—can exist without judgment. I hold space for whatever arises, and we move at the pace that feels right for you. This is healing work, and healing sometimes asks us to feel what we’ve been avoiding.
-
Traditional therapy is invaluable, and I encourage anyone who needs clinical support to seek it. What I offer is complementary—a creative, soul-centered approach that works with your innate wisdom rather than diagnosing or fixing you. We’re not analysing your past through a clinical lens; we’re transmuting it through creative expression. Think of it as a blend of creative practice, nature-based healing, and deep reflective conversation. I’m not a therapist—I’m an artist and a guide who has walked this path and learned to use creativity as medicine. Many people find that this approach reaches places traditional therapy hasn’t touched.
-
That’s completely understandable. Vulnerability is one of the bravest acts we can undertake, especially when we’ve learned to protect ourselves by staying hidden. I don’t expect you to share everything in our first session. We move at your pace. I bring a non-judgmental presence, deep listening, and genuine care for your journey. You’ll only share what feels safe to share. Many people find that because I’m someone who has done this inner work myself—who understands the weight of buried pain—there’s a natural sense of being understood that allows trust to develop organically.

You don’t need to arrive with profound insights. In fact, some of the most powerful work begins with the honesty of ‘‘I don't know what to say.’’ The creative process itself is what brings clarity. Through writing, reflection, and gentle prompts, we’ll uncover what’s there. Sometimes it’s a memory. Sometimes it’s a feeling you can’t name. Sometimes it’s just noticing that you’ve been holding your breath for years. All of it matters. All of it is valid. The profundity emerges in the doing, not in the arriving with answers.
-
While there’s something sacred about being in nature together physically, I’ve been surprised by how powerful online work can be. You’re in your own space—somewhere you feel safe. There’s intimacy in that. The screen can actually create a helpful boundary that makes vulnerability feel more accessible for some people. We might use guided visualisation or my photographs to connect with nature’s energy, and the creative writing work translates beautifully online. What matters most isn’t the medium; it’s the intention, the presence, and your willingness to show up for yourself.
-
It’s yours. Everything you create belongs to you. I won’t share it, and I won’t ask you to share it beyond what feels comfortable. Some people like to read aloud what they’ve written; others prefer to keep it private and just share the essence of what came up. Both are honoured. The writing is a tool for your healing, not a performance. If you choose the Alchemical Transformation package, we may work together to develop your writing into a more cohesive project if that serves your healing, but only if you want to.
-
If you’re asking this question, part of you already knows. Readiness doesn’t mean you have it all figured out or that you feel completely prepared. It means there’s a stirring inside—a sense that something needs to shift, that you can’t keep living behind the masks, that your pain deserves to be witnessed and transformed. Readiness is simply the willingness to begin, even when you’re uncertain. Even when you’re afraid. The rest unfolds as we walk together.
-
Life happens. I understand that. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule so I can offer that time to someone else. If something urgent arises, just let me know as soon as possible and we’ll work it out. For the multi-session packages, we have flexibility built in—we can adjust timing between sessions based on what you need. This work is about honouring yourself, and sometimes that means honouring when you need to pause or shift course.
-
I hear the weariness in that question, and I honour it. You’ve been searching for relief, for understanding, for a way through—and you haven’t found it yet. That doesn’t mean it doesn't exist. Sometimes healing requires a different language than the ones we’ve been taught. Creativity accesses parts of us that talk therapy and self-help books can’t always reach. It bypasses the analytical mind and speaks directly to the soul. I can’t promise this will be the thing that finally clicks for you, but I can promise that I’ll meet you with presence, authenticity, and a deep respect for your journey. And sometimes, that acceptance is exactly what creates the opening.
-
No. While this work is deeply healing for trauma survivors, it’s for anyone who feels disconnected from their authentic self, anyone seeking deeper meaning, anyone who senses that creativity might be a doorway to something more. You don’t need to have experienced capital-T Trauma. Perhaps you’ve just spent years adapting to a world that asked you to be someone you’re not. Perhaps you’re going through a transition and need tools to navigate it. Perhaps you’re simply curious about what wisdom your inner landscape holds. All reasons are valid, and none are more or less deserving than others.
