MINDFUL NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS FOR SOULFUL BEINGS

Transform Your Life, Heal & Reconnect with Yourself Through Mindful Nature Photography Workshops with Brad Carr.

Transformational Mobile Phone-Friendly Photography Workshops Across Mid Wales & Shropshire from only £15.

After many years wandering amongst the ancient trees of Mid Wales in search of deep wisdom and timeless stories to tell, I've discovered that photography is about much more than ‘capturing’ beautiful images; it's a gateway to healing, presence, and self-awareness.

Mindful photography, when practiced with conscious intention, leads to a profound connection with the spirit of Nature. These beginner-friendly photography workshops offer you a map for the same transformative journey that helped me find peace, belonging, and identity after recovering from domestic abuse-induced childhood trauma.

You don’t need a fancy camera with the latest, most expensive lenses. All you need is a mobile phone to experience a life-enriching spiritual transformation.

‘‘Throughout the lesson, Brad was approachable & attentive. I don’t have an expensive camera, but I’m really happy with the shots I came away with. It’s opened my eyes to what I can achieve with it & I’m looking forward to putting some of my new found knowledge into practice. If you want to discover or develop your photography in a friendly & relaxed environment, I can thoroughly recommend Brad & his workshop’’

  • John W. ★★★★★

‘‘Our recent workshop with Brad was an eye-opener. I was already into woodland photography, but Brad helped to link emotion and being-in-nature into our photography images.

Brad made the time to make sure everybody in our group had some 1-to-1 time to talk about our images and how they made us feel.

I would 100% recommend. Many thanks.’’

  • Kieran M. ★★★★★

Coming on this workshop really made me see how people like Brad, with such a passion and skill in photography truly enjoy sharing their knowledge, skills and techniques. No question was ever too much and Brad was always happy to go as much into depth as needed to help understand what I had asked. A superb morning full of discussion, skill sharing and in a beautiful location! 5*

‘‘What a fantastic morning we had! When I first heard the workshop was an hour away from home starting at 5.30am I was a bit unsure but, by god was it worth it. Brad sure knows his stuff and you can tell how enthusiastic he is about photography and trees. The whole morning was laid back, none of this talking at you and expecting you to remember things. Brad was very patient, took time with each of us individually and has a knack of explaining things in simple terms that we can all understand. All in all a fantastic morning. Thank you Brad!’’

  • Lucy R. ★★★★★

‘‘Brad is as wonderful of a teacher as he is a photographer. I have had both a 1-1 lesson as well as a workshop with Brad where I experienced consistent attention, personalised feedback and a friendly atmosphere. Brad's philosophy and dedication to photography is admirable, and I couldn't recommend him enough if you're thinking of developing your landscape photography.’’

  • Allison P. ★★★★★

What an amazing workshop. I’ve visited the area on numerous occasions, but never have I taken in all of its beauty.
Brad’s style of tuition is that of a teacher, if required, but more importantly as a coach making you think; ‘Why am I taking this photo?’ ‘How can I improve it?’
I came away from the day knowing more about my camera but the biggest takeaway was the realisation that photography really does make you stop, look and consider your surroundings.
Thanks to Brad, I’m itching to get back out in the great outdoors with my camera and look out for more photographic opportunities.

About Mindful Photography

‘‘The art of mindful photography, for me, is an embodied practice that, when practiced consciously and with intention, leads to the development of presence and awareness. Being outdoors in the natural world encourages us to become truly present with our environment through sensory engagement. We see, touch, smell, and listen to the landscape. Sometimes we might even taste its sweet fruits or the purity of Mother Nature's waters.

We can learn, therefore, to become present with ourselves when we are immersed in the creative process, engaging with Nature and searching for compositions in our immediate environment. Our minds, bodies, and spirits become one as we photograph ancient trees and silent mountain lakes.

When we scan our surroundings, in the hope that the ever-elusive beauty of a composition reveals itself before our eyes, our energy and awareness can be nowhere else but ‘here’ in the moment. It takes true presence to see meaningful compositions. The more engaged we are in our craft — the more present we are with the landscape — the more likely we are to recognise Mother Nature’s omnipresent beauty.’’

The Benefits of Mindful Nature Photography Workshops:

Reduced Stress & Anxiety

Photography provides a much-needed escape from the mind. During your time in Nature, engaged in the creative process, you’ll probably notice your thoughts stop, your stress subsides, and your awareness comes into the present moment.

A productive photography session can be a soul-cleansing experience — a ‘spiritual reset’, if you like.

Awaken the Inner Child

Reconnect with awe and wonder in the natural world.

Photography encourages experimentation and play. There are no expectations during these workshops. You’ll leave your desire for perfection behind and embrace any ‘mistakes’ as lessons that provide wisdom and create room for growth.

Express Yourself with Safety

Photography provides a wonderful platform for the safe expression of your full self. Not ready to be seen in your rawest moments yet? Channel your grief, fear, shame, joy, and love into your photographs and lighten your emotional load at a safe distance from others.

Learn to See Again

Photography opens the mind to new ways of thinking, building neural pathways in the brain. You’ll learn to see through many different lenses during your time in these workshops. Your view of the world will never be the same again. Creativity increases, cognitive function improves, and awareness expands.

Connect with Something Sacred

Many ancient traditions, such as the Celts and Shamans, viewed the world through an animistic lens, believing that Nature is alive with spirits. When we engage with Nature through the creative process, we enter a state of deep presence and connect with something sacred and divine inside of ourselves.

Develop Vision & Enhance Creativity

Photography opens the mind to new ways of thinking, building neural pathways in the brain. You’ll learn to see through many different lenses when you practice mindful photography. Your view of the world will never be the same again. Creativity increases, cognitive function improves, and awareness expands. Mindful photography, therefore, leads to immense amounts of personal and spiritual growth.
