IN:NATURE GROUP MINDFUL CREATIVITY & HEALING SESSIONS

Creativity-Centred, Nature-Based Alternative Therapy Sessions Across Mid Wales, Snowdonia, North Wales, and Shropshire.

Investment: from £15 per person per session

Connect with  a small group of creative, like-minded people on a walk amongst legendary trees, in pursuit of purpose, meaning, healing, and deep wisdom to carry forth for future generations.

Through these insightful and inspiring Nature-based creative sessions, we will be exploring the outer and inner worlds and studying our own unique relationship with the two, using conscious creative practices to deepen our connection with Nature, ourselves, and each other.

We will primarily use the mediums of photography (mobile phones are welcome) and creative writing (poetry & prose) to gain deeper self-awareness and understanding, express deep-rooted emotions, uncover further parts of our authentic selves, and create beauty from our collective pain and struggles.

The Six Fundamental Pillars of Our Journey

RETURN HOME TO NATURE

Reconnect with the natural world as our ancestral home and sanctuary. Through mindful presence among ancient trees and sacred landscapes, we rediscover our innate sense of belonging in the web of life, allowing Nature's rhythms to restore our sense of place and groundedness in an increasingly disconnected world.

HEAL THROUGH CREATIVITY

Transform pain into beauty through the transformative power of creativity. Whether through photography, writing, or other artistic mediums, we learn to channel our struggles into meaningful expression, discovering that our wounds can become sources of wisdom and connection with others.

PRACTICE MINDFUL PHOTOGRAPHY

Develop a photographer's eye to perceive the extraordinary in the ordinary. Through mindful observation and creative composition, photography becomes a meditation practice that sharpens awareness, captures fleeting moments of beauty, and helps us see our world with fresh wonder and appreciation.

DEVELOP CREATIVE WRITING

Use the written word as a mirror to your inner landscape. Through guided prompts and reflective exercises inspired by our natural surroundings, journaling becomes a pathway to deeper self-understanding, helping you process emotions, clarify thoughts, and uncover hidden aspects of your authentic self.

CONNECT & BUILD COMMUNITY

Foster genuine connections with like-minded souls who share your journey of growth and creativity. In our small group settings, we create safe spaces for authentic conversation that goes beyond surface-level interactions, building lasting bonds rooted in mutual support and shared purpose.

EXPERIENCE PROFOUND GROWTH

Embark on a journey of transformation that honours both personal development and spiritual awakening. Through contemplative practices in Nature, meaningful dialogue, and creative exploration, we cultivate wisdom, resilience, and a deeper understanding of our purpose in the greater tapestry of our collective existence.

Connect Deeply and Rediscover Awe & Wonder

These walks will be an opportunity to form connections with Nature, yourself, and each other, engage in open, honest, thoughtful conversation about topics that go deeper than the weather, politics, and the news.

They are an invitation for you to come and engage the childs’ mind; by exploring your curiosity, rediscovering awe and wonder, and using imagination to create a better future for humanity.

We will, through conversation, reflect, at times, upon the past, but not dwell, so that we can move forwards together towards a world where love, truth, and peace reigns over all.

Why I Created These Walks

"Over the past seven years, creativity has been transformational for me and my own world. Through photography and writing, I have achieved immense amounts of healing and rescued parts of my own soul.

Nature, and the trees in particular, have been my sanctuary and safe space. I liken the trees to my father, best friends, and therapist, and their impact on my life has been unprecedented. Through these walks, I want to share this transformative relationship and help others discover their own path to healing, emotional freedom and creative expression.’’

What Participants Say:

  • Alix, GISDA Workshop Attendee

‘‘I have learnt so much through these sessions, things about myself and the people around me that I never took notice of.  I have also been pulled closer and closer to the beauty around me through every session.  You have given me an opportunity to grow in so many ways.  You've also given me a chance to practice my photography and my creative writing.  I never thought I'd be sitting here today with a book full of poems and songs, and a camera filled with not only beautiful pictures, but beautiful memories.’’

  • GISDA Staff

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Brad for the incredible series of sessions he delivered for us at GISDA. The sessions were absolutely amazing – truly something special.

Brad created such a safe, supportive space with a strong focus on self-expression. He brought out the best in the young people, encouraging them to open up, share, and support each other in a way that was genuinely beautiful to witness. His approach was warm, respectful, and inspiring, and it was clear that the young people felt completely comfortable in his presence.

What stood out most was how naturally Brad built trust – several of the young people even mentioned how much they appreciated the atmosphere he created, and how easy it was to express themselves honestly around him.

We can’t recommend Brad enough. These sessions would benefit just about anyone – the impact they’ve had on our group has been incredible, and we’re so grateful for the experience.

  • Ian P, Workshop Attendee

Brad’s style of teaching is that of a coach that wants to help you get the best out of your own vision and art. This is not about telling you what to do, it is about asking you to think about why you are taking that particular picture and how you might improve it. This is for those who really want to take their photography to a new level of meaning and thinking. I made me realise that the most important part of the experience is to be out in nature and to try and use my photography to share the benefits of how this makes me feel.

  • Not at all! These walks welcome complete beginners. We focus on seeing and feeling rather than technical skills. Even phone cameras work wonderfully.

  • Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a camera or phone, and a notebook/ paper. Most importantly, bring your full self, curious spirit and an open mind.

  • We embrace all weather as part of Nature's teaching. Light rain often creates the most magical moments. Only severe weather conditions would lead to rescheduling.

  • Many participants find these creative sessions supportive for their wellbeing. However, they're complementary to, not a replacement for, professional mental health care.

  • No, you will not be forced to engage with any of the creative practices. If you wish to simply come along and be a part of the experience, then you are more than welcome to do so.

To get the most out of these sessions, however, it is recommended that you find your form of expression. Feel free to sing, dance, paint or draw your way to healing, and be witnessed by others to speed up your journey.
